No 501(c)(3) letter?
This application is for charities with an IRS 501(c)(3) letter. Churches, public schools, libraries, fire departments, programs with a fiscal sponsor and community groups sign up a different way: you pick what kind of organization you are, and PIE runs the checks for that kind.

Automatic checks
Once you confirm your email, PIE checks your EIN, website and email domain automatically. Most nonprofits are approved within minutes. If something needs fixing, your status page says exactly what. If a check needs a person, a PIE team member emails you, and you get an email when you are approved.
Donations arrive
Approved nonprofits appear in the PIE Member portal. Every Member who chooses you sends PIE's donations toward your cause from day one.
