What we collect

We collect information you provide directly - your name, business email, company details, and invoices or spend data you choose to share when signing up or using the portal. We also collect standard web-server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and session cookies required to keep you signed in. On public pages and in the member portal we also record how the site is used, as described under Product analytics below.

Product analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use our public pages and the member portal, through heatmaps and session replays of clicks, scrolling, and page views, so we can find and fix what is confusing or broken. Clarity hides everything typed into form fields, as well as numbers and email addresses shown on the page, and we also hide payment details, passwords, two-factor and backup codes, API keys, your documents, and your messages. Other text on the screen, such as a greeting with your first name, can appear in a replay. We never link replays to your account, name, or email. Clarity does not run on PIE staff pages or on private-link pages such as invitations, surveys, meeting bookings, and shared files, and we keep those links out of the pages it does record. PIE does not run advertising, and we use Clarity only to improve the product. Microsoft's handling of this data is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

How we use it

Your information is used solely to provide and improve the PIE Partner Portal - to set up your account, attribute donations to your chosen nonprofit, process hardware and software orders, and send you service-related communications. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Data sharing

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate PIE (payment processors, cloud infrastructure, email delivery). Each provider is bound by a data-processing agreement. Product analytics data goes to Microsoft Clarity under Microsoft's Clarity terms. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. California residents have additional rights under CCPA. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Microsoft Clarity sets its own cookies to connect the pages of a visit and recognize a returning browser (first-party cookies named _clck and _clsk), and Microsoft may also set its own cookies, such as MUID, from its domains. PIE does not use cookies for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
